When was the last time you played in clay? My thoughts go back to when I was child and made figures out of modeling clay or Play Doe. Well, clay’s not just for modeling anymore. Clay can be the best way to exfoilate your skin and reveal and refresh the skin beneath.
Now, before you run over at snatch that clay out of your child’s hands, not all clay is created equal. There are different clays that will nourish your skin in different ways. There are 3 main clays that are used according to your skin type. Red, white and green clays. They all handle different skin types, but do the same job…beautify your skin.
Clay performs many different job in one application. It clears the skin, stimulates circulation, and it is anti-inflammatory. It is one of the the best ways to draw the toxins out of your skin and it also contains minerals your skin needs such as iron, magnesium, zinc, potassium and siliceous earth. All the minerals that are stored in your skin that protects it from becoming dry and tired.
Clay can be used to different ways, but an effective way to use it is as a mask. Masks can be used to combat blemishes, oily and aging skin.
How it works:
When you apply a clay mask to your skin, a warm layer is created beneath the mask producing sweat. In the sweat is the release of toxins, waste and dirty that was trapped in your skin revealing new and refreshed skin beneath.
As I said, there are three different kinds of clay you can use for your skin type. Here is how you can choose which is best for you.
Red clay is good for all skin types and is an excellent cleanser for your skin.
White clay, which is an great detoxification, can be used for dry and oily skin. It will help balance out the sebaceous production in your skin.
Green clay is GREAT for oily skin because it reduces the production of sebaceous in the skin.
So, do something wonderful for you skin. Go play in some clay.
